Laboratory Management Team

My main everyday focus is running a transparent environment and to coordinate the everyday running of the lab. I am in charge of practicalities such as ordering, chemical inventory, risk assessments, biosafety, waste management and work environment. I am also responsible for introducing new and visiting researchers in the lab environment including training in BSL2 techniques, instrument function, lab routines and SOPs critical to the running of the lab.

As a Lab Manager I help, support and guide the students and researchers in the lab to ensure best practices and efficacy, and being proactive in establishing routines and processes and contribute to a high level of quality on the day-to-day work in the lab.
