I have a basic degree in biology with a major in genetics and a PhD in genetics from the University of Helsinki. In addition to my senior researcher position at Folkhälsan, I work as a senior university lecturer at the University of Helsinki, where I teach human genetics. My research is focused on the molecular genetics and pathogenetic mechanisms of congenital myopathies, especially nemaline myopathy.
