I investigate the associations between caregiver mental health symptoms and problematic digital media use with young children’s physical activity, sedentary behaviour (including screen time) and sleep. My research explores how these caregiver-related factors are linked to family-level activities such as nature visits and physical activity. The aim is to generate new knowledge on the determinants of movement behaviours in early childhood and to identify children who may be at risk of inadequate activity patterns. I seek to support equitable opportunities for healthy growth and development.
