Research Group: Neonatal Mitochondrial Diseases
My research focuses on mitochondrial disorders, with a focus on complex III deficiency and its role in premature aging. My work explores how liver-targeted gene therapy can improve disease outcomes and shed light on the liver’s role in systemic energy balance and thermogenesis. More broadly, I aim to translate insights from basic mitochondrial biology into therapeutic strategies that address metabolic and age-related diseases.
