I have a background in biotechnology, and I obtained my PhD in neurosciences. I am involved in a research project to uncover the disease mechanisms underlying the rare epilepsy syndrome EPM1, with a particular focus on the molecular basis of microglial dysfunction. My aim is to understand the neuroinflammatory and metabolic processes in EPM1.
